Gastric acid secretion in patients with duodenal ulcer and benign gastric outlet obstruction

Abstract

With the standard dose of histamine acid phosphate 40 g/kg body weight, the peak and maximal acid outputs were calculated in 102 patients with uncomplicated duodenal ulcer disease, forty-seven controls and forty-seven patients with benign gastric outlet obstruction. The results obtained for maximal acid output showed significant differences between the control group and the other two groups separately.
