African Digital Health Library (ADHL) is a collection of theses, articles, books, videos, images, lectures, papers, data sets and all types of digital content originating from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.The ADHL in Nigeria is managed by E. Latunde Odeku Medical Library, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. The ADHL is a collaborative initiative of medical librarians in Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe funded by the Office of Global AIDS/U.S. Department of State and the U.S. National Library of Medicine / National Institutes of Health.

| dc.description.abstract | Two eases of meningococcal disease due to serogroup W-135 Neisseria meningitidis are presented. One died from fulminating meningococcaemia and the other had severe meningoencephalitis with acute septic arthritis. Serogroup W-135 N. meningitidis is pathogenic for man, and laboratories should attempt to identify and serotype the organism so that more data about the disease it causes can be obtained. | en_US |
