Despite the high incidence, its complex multifactorial pathogenesis is not yet understood and controversies continued on the role of immunobiological factors particularly cytokines and immunoglobulins in the a etiology or chronicity of otitis media. This review article discusses our research findings and reviews our knowledge up to date as found in published literature.en_US
