Abstract: A combination of severe hepatic fatty change and moderate or severe haemosiderosis is a significant feature of chronic pancreatic disease presenting with the malabsorption syndrome. Simple hepatic fibrosis and true cirrhosis do not appear to be associated with chronic pancreatic disease
