Abstract: The rate of growth of world literature on medical sciences is increasing rapidly that it is becoming difficult for libraries to keep up. This is even more so for health professionals. Reading is the most singularly used method of continuing education by health personnel, to learn about new developments in medicine and patient care. However, critical reading of the literature is essential in deciding the evaluation of information therein and how best to combine it with research and clinical practice
